Savour the party at Sportcity

Visitors who donít have tickets for the Commonwealth Games donít have to miss out on the party atmosphere at Sportcity.

Over 28,000 free tickets are available for access to the plaza area of Sportcity, home to the City of Manchester Stadium, National Squash Centre and Table Tennis Centre.

The tickets will allow visitors to stock up on goodies from the official merchandise superstore and enjoy the fun and games put on by the Gamesí sponsors.

The 3,500 sq ft superstore opens today (Monday) and offers the full range of Commonwealth Games merchandise.

The range includes t-shirts, jackets, fleeces, baseball caps, umbrellas, ties, socks, scarves, teddy bears, key rings, pens, pin badges, cuff links, fish eye photography posters, postcards, kitchen roll, candles, stamps, towels, fine bone china, classic model cars, roses, wine and many more.

Plaza tickets can be collected from any of the M2002 official merchandise stores in and around Manchester, including the Arndale Centre, Trafford Centre and Manchester Airport, as well as at venues.

Each ticket, which will not allow access inside the stadium or other venues, will be valid for specific time slots. Tickets are available on a first come first served basis from 24 July and are limited to five per person.

Manchester 2002 has over 50 licensees who have produced over 1,500 product lines, sold in hundreds of retail outlets across the UK.

M2002 have already sold over 150,000 t-shirts, 30,000 polo shirts, 35,000 cuddly mascots, 30,000 mugs, 100,000 caps and 15,000 umbrellas.
