For the period of the Games, there will be live entertainment every day in the city centre, plus screens showing the daily sporting action live!
The main locations are Exchange Square (by The Triangle), Piccadilly Gardens, Great Northern Square (off Deansgate) and Castlefield Arena. There will also be a Festival Live market at Pollard Street.
There will be increased traffic and people around those areas so please take this into account when planning your travel during the Games.
Caribbean Carnival 27 July
The Caribbean Carnival takes place on 27/28 July at Alexandra Park.
It traditionally features a procession into the city centre which this year is predicted to be on a larger scale than in previous years.
