Salford Quays and the surrounding area will provide a stunning backdrop to the triathlon and race walks events.
The triathlon is tipped to be one of the most popular events at the Games and thousands of spectators are expected. For security, and to make sure the event runs smoothly, there will be some local road closures and restrictions.
Residents’ parking
Dedicated, secure parking areas will be available at Anchorage car park for residents and businesses who cannot access their usual car parks during event days and the immediate build up. Free vehicle permits will be provided in the near future.
