Queen's Jubilee Baton Relay Partners
who all share our vision for the Relay and the Games
Cadbury, our Presenting Partner
As
Presenting Partner of The Queens Jubilee Baton Relay, Cadbury has
invested significant amounts of resources into the Relay and the XVII
Commonwealth Games. The multi-million pound sponsorship package will ensure
that the Relay is taken nationwide and to all corners of the United Kingdom.
As the leader in the UK chocolate market, Cadbury
is one of the worlds largest chocolate producers and a major force
in the international confectionary industry. Founded in 1824 as a one-man
business, quality, trust and corporate integrity have been synonymous
with the Cadbury name from the start.
Andrew Cosslett, Managing Director of Cadbury
Trebor Bassett said: We feel that Cadbury is a perfect fit for the
Games initiative not least because of our strong heritage and presence
across the UK, but also because the universal mass appeal of our product
will be reflected by the thousands taking part in The Queens Jubilee
Baton Relay.
The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), our
Broadcast Partner
The
BBC is the Host Broadcaster for the Games and the Relay and will provide
live coverage across both events. The BBC is a world leader in high-quality
programming and a pioneer in radio, television and online technologies.
With as many as 200 cameras a day and 1,200 broadcasting staff at our
disposal, we know that we will be guaranteed the best coverage available
anywhere in the world. The BBCs coverage of major events is part
of the tapestry of our lives and we hope that The Queens Jubilee
Baton Relay will become an important part of that rich body of work.
The Guardian Media Group (GMG), our Media Partner
Guardian
Media Group (GMG) is the Official Media Sponsor of the Manchester 2002
Commonwealth Games and an Official Media Partner of the Queens Jubilee
Baton Relay.
GMG is a diverse media group operating more than
70 titles across national, regional and local newspapers, magazines, the
internet, radio and television. Flagship titles include The Guardian,
The Observer, Manchester Evening News, Guardian Unlimited and Manchester

the public interest in a variety of ways.
The Relay, which will involve millions of people
- either as runners, spectators along the route, or at the community celebration
events - provides GMG with an important platform to promote its community
ideals.
