| Government: The Bailiwick of Guernsey – which consists of four main islands: Guernsey, Alderney, Sark and Herm - has its own constitution which makes it almost a self-governing member of the Commonwealth. However, Guernsey's legislation occasionally has to be approved by the Queen in Council before it can be enacted locally.
