Rugby sevens will be the final event at the City of Manchester Stadium

Eighteen-year-old Ross Ford has been given a surprise call-up to replace Adam Roxburgh who was ruled out after suffering a knee injury in training.

The Borders player from Edinburgh who usually plays as blindside flanker has captained both South and Scotland at under-16 level. He also represented the Scotland under-18 team in the four nations tournament in Wales.

The rugby sevens event commences on 2 August in the City of Manchester Stadium, Sportcity.
