26 July 2002

Canada could be set for another gold medal at the Aquatics Centre, this time with Myriam Boileau.

The stage is set for tonight's final

The 24-year-old is 7.68 points in lead after the preliminary rounds of the women’s 10m highboard diving with a score of 184.65 after four dives.

She leads Australia’s Loudy Tourky, who is in second place and England’s Stacie Powell who is in third, fellow Canadians Blythe Hartley and Emilie Heymans are fourth and fifth respectively.

Boileau will be hoping she can go one better in tonight’s final than she did at Kuala Lumpur in 1998 when she had to settle for the silver medal behind Australia’s Vyninka Arlow.
