Thorpedo breaks Games record again

Ian Thorpe broke the Game’s record once more swimming 49.31 in the second of the men’s 100m freestyle semifinals.

Thorpe just gets faster and faster

As expected Thorpe was the fastest but Matt Kidd of England (49.72) also impressed by breaking the British record and winning the first of the two semi-finals.

Kidd, the first British male to ‘break’ 50 seconds, will be swimming next to Thorpe in the final, which will take place Friday 2 August.
