Aussies progress into breaststroke semi

As expected the Australian trio of Tarnee White, Brooke Hanson and Leisel Jones qualified comfortably for tonight’s semi-finals of the women’s 100m breaststroke.

Tarnee White breezed through the first heat

The host nation will be represented by Jamie King, Kate Heywood and Heidi Earp who can expect huge vocal support at the Manchester Aquatics Centre.

The fastest qualifier overall though was Canada’s Rhiannon Leier who completed her swim in 1:09.46.
