England girls make it to the final


The semi-finals for the womenís 100 metres have taken place and see three of Englandís sprinters in the final.

Amanda Forrester will be vying against teammates for a medal

The three sprinters will line up against opponents from the Bahamas, Jamiaca, Sri Lanka and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

They are Abiodum Oyepitan, who ran a seasons best of 11.36, Amanda Forrester, who ran a personal best of 11.37 and Shani Anderson(11.39).

The other qualifiers are:

Debbie Ferguson (11.08) - Bahamas
Sevatheda Fynes(11.13) - Bahamas
Susanthika Jayansinghe (11.15) - Sri Lanka
Veronica Campbell (11.21) - Jamaica
Natasha Mayers (11.22) - St. Vincent & The Grenadines

The 100m final takes place at 20:25 just before the menís 100m final.
