Kruger strikes gold with new discus record

South African giant Franzt Kruger set a new Commonwealth record of 66.39m in the final of the men’s discus at the City of Manchester Stadium on Saturday.

Kruger sets a new Commonwealth record

Kruger set the record with his second throw of the final and it was easily enough to surpass Jason Tunks (CAN) who threw 62.61 for silver and the popular English star Robert Weir threw 59.24 to collect bronze for the host nation.
