Welshman Jamie Baulch said after the race that he had run carrying an injury:

ďIíve had some really intensive treatment. The Welsh team and some of the British team have been looking after me. Itís been great. Thatís what got me back on track.Ē

Team-mate Iwan Thomas was delighted after himself coming back from injury: ďI havenít trained much since Iíve been here, so this is the first thing Iíve really done. Iíve said all year Iím running rubbish for whatever reasons. But Iím better now than I have been running. I think thatís shown in the relay because I can just relax.

ďNext year I need to get back to the drawing board and remember why I do this sport, which is because I love it, and I havenít been enjoying it recently.Ē

The final will take place tomorrow evening.
