Australians on fast track for triple medal win

An ecstatic Bayley said afterwards: ďIt was absolutely beautiful, Iíve come into the last corner, Sean (Eadie, AUS) was ahead. I had no thought in my mind that I could come around him. But I always fight to the end, I always go hard and Iíve come around him, I donít know how.

Eadie who took the gold was described by Bayley as, ďabsolutely on fire, heís the fastest qualifier and to come around him and to outride him is beautiful. Heís a really quick rider, heís got the brains, heís been doing it for years. Itís a real honour to come around him.Ē

On the strength of Australian cycling Bayley said: ďItís absolutely beautiful, weíve been breaking records all over the place. The teamís come together really well. Everythingís been really good, weíve all gone off and had a lot of fun.Ē
