Timothy Lowndes and Samuel Wieland won the gold with a score of 2297. Lowndes said about competing at this level: ďYou gotta be wrapped, donít you? Iíve been training really well and my build upís been really good. I really wanted to continue that form into this match. I did, so I canít be disappointed.Ē
ďI started really well with the prone and shot 398ex-400. This has been known to be a very difficult range because of the wind and the mirage. Standing bought me away from the field and kneeling put the icing on the cake.Ē

Englands Jason Burrage and Christopher Hector won the Silver with a score of 2270. An excited Burrage said: ďIím ecstatic, itís great, and itís my first medal, this silver. The heartís a bit fluttery, but itíll settle down once I get the medal around my neck. I knew we had the chance of a medal Ė silverís pretty good.Ē
On his fatherís support: ďMy dadís very pleased. I got a big hug and itís probably a dream come true for him too. Itís been on my mind for sometime and I look forward to getting another on Saturday. Itís well worth all the effort, because sometimes you think ĎIs it worth it?íĒ

Hs team mate Hector was equally jubilant saying: ďI am completely over the moon. I got bronze in Victoria and Kuala Lumpur so itís really good to get the silver this time. Weíve got a great team spirit.Ē

Subbaiah Airira Pemmaiah of India, competing in his third Commonwealth Games, took the bronze medal with a score of 2266. A little disappointed with his score Pemmaiah said: ďToday I helped get the team a bronze, but I am not happy because it was a very low score for me. My colleague Charan [SINGH] shot well to pull us through.Ē
