The brothers, who also competed in the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur, were chosen after topping the standings at the recent national trials.

Their team manager, Varun Sharma, has said that Zambian, Prince Makuka, who is currently undergoing heavy training for the Games, would be watching the Bains brothers carefully.

Kenya will be represented in no less than 11 disciplines in the Games.

The National Squash Centre, part of Sportcity, will host the squash finals. It boasts six new permanent fixed courts and one moveable show court and will undoubtedly become one of the premier squash facilities in the world. It will provide a superb venue for what will effectively be a world championship of squash.

Entry to many of the Manchester 2002 squash events are through general admission and tickets are also available online
