Leilani Rorani hopes to rekindle former glories at Manchester 2002

Rorani took the match 9-5, 8-10, 9-5, 9-2 making it extremely difficult for her opponent to get into the game.

David, the world number 16 from Penang seemed dissapointed to go out of tournament at this stage.

She said afterwards: “She made me work very hard. I was nervous at first, but grateful for the points.”

“I began to get tired after the third game. She was tough and tighter than I thought she would be and I let it go. She, perhaps, has more confidence that I have, but I think that is down to experience.”
