Fireworks

With an expected TV audience of 500 million, the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the XVII Commonwealth Games will set the tone for lasting memories of an outstanding sporting spectacle. Both Ceremonies will be staged in the stunning new City of Manchester Stadium in front of a live audience of 38,000. Her Majesty The Queen, celebrating her Golden Jubilee in 2002, will officiate.
