Working at Manchester 2002

As the organisation entrusted with the successful delivery of the Manchester Commonwealth Games this summer, the human resource needs of Manchester 2002 are exceptionally demanding, wide and varied. A vast amount of careful planning and coordination is already underway to ensure that the Games, the largest ever multi-sport event to take place in the UK, receives as much acclamation as Sydney has done for its delivery of the 2000 Olympics.

Opportunities exist both now and in the future, for suitably skilled individuals with a taste for working in a highly demanding and exciting environment. If you have a ‘can do’ attitude and want to become part of the Games experience, we would be delighted to hear from you.

We currently have a number of positions available within the organisation. Click on each of the job titles shown below, to see details of individual posts.

If you are interested in any of our posts, please send your CV, indicating the post(s) you are applying for and include details of your current salary package and expectations, via e-mail to:

Recruitment@manchester2002.co.uk

Manchester 2002 also offers a secondment programme for employers who would like to become employee contributor participants of the XVII Commonwealth Games.

Although all vacancies are advertised on this website we also advertise in the press periodically.

All posts are based in Manchester and are on a salary basis for a fixed term until the completion of the Games in August/September 2002.

Manchester 2002 is an equal opportunity employer and we positively welcome applications from women and men, regardless of their racial, ethnic or national origin, disability, age up to 65, sexuality or responsibilities for dependants.

Please regularly check our website. If you notice that the job you have applied for has been withdrawn from the website and you havenít been contacted by us, please consider your application as unsuccessful. Thank you for your application and your interest in working with us.
