Adekunle Adesoji blasts away the opposition as he lifts 100m title.

World track record smashed at City of Manchester Stadium

Adekunle Adesoji completed the 100m EAD race in 10.76 seconds tonight - setting a new world record as he took the Manchester 2002 Commonwealth title.

Malaysia's Hisham Khaironi also claimed a personal best time tonight as he finished in 11.53 seconds to scoop silver.

Rory Field of South Africa won bronze in a time of 11.96 seconds.
